Steven H. Haakonson Partner

Steve Haakonson has over twenty-five years experience as counsel, joined the firm in late 2010 and joined the partnership in 2012.

Steve has a broad background in litigation, having run a varied sole practice for ten years in many areas of litigation and in criminal defence work.

Steve’s area of practice is in insurance defence, particularly for design professionals and local governments. He also represents clients in construction disputes, complex multi-party litigation cases, personal injury cases and foreclosures.

Prior to becoming a lawyer, Steve worked in the oil industry and as a musician. His interests include playing guitar, running and travel. He has traveled extensively in South America, Europe, Southeast Asia, the eastern seaboard of the United States and in virtually every part of Canada.
